For a super-modern city, Seoul has many historic sites and it's attractive to visit.
For the first time visit to Seoul,This palace is a must to visit and there's a market that is open 24 hours, Dongdaemun. Despite having some similarities, a lot of fun things that can be enjoyed during the tour to these palaces.
Changdeokgung
This palace is one of the greatest palaces built by kings of the Joseon Dynasty. Changdeokgung is located in Jongno, central tourist area.
When the Japanese occupation, the palace is destroyed until the only remaining thirty percent. However, after some time restoration, Changdeokgung is still seen as one of the most beautiful palaces.
One of the most beautiful part of the palace is Huwon, rear garden with a pond in the middle of the park. In the pool there is a small pavilion that reportedly often used by women when they want to enjoy a relaxing time.
All around the pond, has seen a multitude of trees that will change color according to season.
To Surrounding the palace is also need a strong stamina because of its location hilly. These beautiful gardens are located on the back and somewhat decreased.
As in another palace, at certain hours, in front of the palace guards will be a procession of the exchange. In addition to a beautiful garden, this procession was one thing that awaited the tourists.
Gyeongbokgung
This is the largest palace in central Seoul and is the oldest relics of the Joseon Dynasty palace. To get into this palace, we have to pay 1000 won. To reach the palace using the subway line three or orange and exit at exit number 5.
Inside the palace complex there are two main buildings, pavilions and halls Geunjeongjeon Gyeonghoeru.
Gyeonghoeru pavilion became the most visited tourist spot because it is surrounded by a lotus pond. Parks surrounding park offers magnificent architecture.
As well as Chadeokgung, at certain hours of the palace guards exchange took place the procession. Since the palace is bigger, the scale of this exchange procession was bigger and festive.
Adjacent to the palace Gyeongbokgung, there is the National Museum of Traditional Korean People which stores around 4000 objects that represent the traditional Korean lifestyle.
Deoksugung.
The palace is the most recent in comparison with previous palaces. Initially, this palace is the residence Wolsan prince, the king's brother Seongjong, but later used as the main palace of the kings thereafter until the Japanese occupation.
The name means palace Deoksugung eternal virtue. This name was given by the king's son who was the last king Gojong of the Joseon dynasty.
Compared to the previous two castles, palaces frankly this is not grand and not too many interesting things to be enjoyed. Hall of the king also looks smaller. Of particular interest is still the presence of a large bell on the left side of the palace. Middle pages are also still used for traditional Korean music concerts, such as Pansori.
Behind the palace Deoksugung Art Museum there are also European-style building with the architect. Park and path to the museum is indeed sweet.
